Starting with a flat roof replacement issue in 2017, St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church reached out to a number of local roofing companies for bids based on field work experience (including church work) and flexibility with project requirements. We received a number of field recommendations that Matrix had extensive work experience with this type of roofing system as well as having a past positive history of working with other churches.
Matrix Roofing Systems, (herein “Matrix”) offered the church financial cost savings option by having their company replace the existing Sanctuary and 30-year Fellowship Hall buildings shingle roofs & the connecting breezeway roof at one time; thereby offsetting our separate roof project completion timelines and resulting delays. Additionally, the shingle manufacturer’s Lifetime material warranty along with Matrix’s workmanship warranty coverage exceeded expectations that other competitors did not offer nor would match.
Based on our work experience, Matrix’s and their fieldwork crew members were the correct choice. We are pleased with their professional and customer-oriented approach, which has years of extensive field experience. They are team focused, most courteous, and easy to work with. Installation and completion of the defined job requirements was finished within the agreed contract period. Equally impressive, all of the assigned Matrix crew members did an outstanding and timely installation job, which included a thorough site cleanup. (There was no roof debris found after the most recent shingle roofing project completed in June 2025 for an equipped elevator building.)

I have been dealing with Matrix Roofing for almost ten years and have not experienced any negative situation. We have two large complexes; both had fairly complicated roofing systems that had to be replaced. We chose the white 60mil TPO roofing material with 2” ISO insulation which has proved to be an excellent choice for us. Not only has it held up very well but the white color has reduced the inside temperature by at least 10 degrees. I have no complaints with their service work either when they came out to flash in new roof air conditioners or exhaust units that we installed. Jeff Hartsock is easy to deal with and always accessible. The company performs in a professional and timely manner and I would recommend them for any roofing system that you may be considering.
